Legion Studio has unveiled the first gameplay trailer for its debut title, Covenant — a dark first-person action-adventure set in a grim fantasy world. The game is currently in development for PC.
Players will step into the role of the last living messenger of the heavens, embarking on a perilous journey through a world in ruins. The protagonist must uncover the mystery behind the fall of the angelic warrior Malach in order to stop an ancient power from awakening.
According to the developers, the gameplay blends shooter mechanics with soulslike elements. The character’s arsenal features machine guns, crossbows, longbows, and a variety of melee weapons — from massive two-handed swords to spiked clubs shaped like deer antlers.
The trailer showcases several of the protagonist’s combat abilities, including dodging, parrying, and brutal finishers. The combat looks fast-paced, deliberate, and packed with stylish brutality.
Covenant does not yet have a release date. However, the project is being built by a team of veteran developers with previous experience on iconic franchises such as DOOM, Call of Duty, Halo, Destiny, and Battlefield.
