Devolver Digital has released its 2024 year-end presentation, revealing a highly successful year in both financial performance and game quality.
Total revenue grew by 13% compared to 2023, reaching nearly $105 million. This growth was fueled by the success of key releases, steady sales of existing titles, and improved deals with platform partners.
In 2024, Devolver launched ten new games with an average Metacritic score of 79, setting a new company record. The best-reviewed title was Neva, a platformer from the creators of GRIS, which earned a score of 87.
Devolver noted that players are spending more time in games from established franchises than in original IPs. However, the top-earning game of the year was the wildly successful Cult of the Lamb, which generated $90 million in revenue.

DLCs and re-releases also performed well, encouraging Devolver to continue investing in additional content for its existing titles.
The company reported a decrease in the cost of producing games with external developers, reflecting a strategic shift toward lower-budget titles. At the same time, Devolver reduced staffing in several studios by 40–50%, with its overall team shrinking from 303 employees in 2023 to 270 in 2024.
The Nintendo Switch remained the publisher’s most successful platform, with over 9 million copies of its games sold. Anticipating the next generation, Devolver has already begun promoting titles for Switch 2. Highlights from the latest Nintendo Direct included STARSEEKER: Astroneer Expeditions, Human Fall Flat 2, and Enter the Gungeon 2.
Looking ahead, Devolver plans to launch 13 new games in 2025 and continue supporting its current lineup with new content and updates.
