DC Studios has officially released the first teaser trailer for the highly anticipated second season of Peacemaker, the action-comedy series created by James Gunn.
Season 2 once again centers on Christopher Smith, better known as Peacemaker, as he continues his violent crusade for peace — this time while confronting the weight of his past. The story explores his inner conflict as he tries to align his personal demons with a new, more purposeful mission. Despite his ongoing struggle for identity and redemption, he remains committed to achieving peace at any cost — even if that means resorting to brutal methods.
John Cena returns in the lead role, joined once again by Danielle Brooks, Jennifer Holland, Freddie Stroma, Steve Agee, and Robert Patrick. Season 2 also brings in new faces, including Frank Grillo, David Denman, Sole Rodriguez, and Tim Meadows.
All eight episodes were written by James Gunn, who also directed three of them, including the season opener. This season promises a continuation of the show’s signature tone: sharp humor, explosive action, and unexpected heart.
Peacemaker Season 2 premieres August 21 on the Max streaming platform.
