- Users have noticed that the price of Horizon Zero Dawn: Complete Edition for PS4 in the PS Store has increased from $20 to $40.
- According to the PSprices portal, the previous price had remained unchanged since summer 2018 and was often discounted further during sales.
- This price hike comes in the wake of the announcement of a Horizon Zero Dawn remaster, which will be priced at $50. However, owners of the PS4 version will be able to upgrade to the remaster for $10.
- As a result, new buyers will end up paying the same $50, even if they purchase the PS4 version with the intention of upgrading. Many have pointed out that it’s still possible to buy the game for less on physical discs.
- In May, Horizon Zero Dawn: Complete Edition was also removed from the expanded PS Plus catalog.
- Sony previously clarified that the discounted upgrade option will also be available to those who received the game for free in 2021.
