Following his comical cloning mishap during the battle against Grasptropod, Johnny and his identical counterparts have embarked on the challenging task of transforming the Seaside Inn from a dilapidated establishment into a gem. As depicted in the final chapter of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth's 'The Saga of the Seaside Inn' questline, players will find themselves exploring the world to gather an array of fascinating items to adorn the inn.
'The Saga of the Seaside Inn' presents a multifaceted quest experience with a unique twist - progression to its conclusion is barred within the same chapter it becomes available. While engaging, the intricacies of the quest may be bewildering, hence we've crafted this guide to aid players in navigating through to the ultimate goal.
Deliver Refurbishment Materials
To embark on 'The Saga of the Seaside Inn,' begin by returning to Johnny's Seaside Inn, still in its weathered state. There, you'll find Johnny perched on the deck, ready to share a significant update: his clones persist even after the showdown with Grasptropod.
This quest is centered around Yuffie, so expect her to play a prominent role in cutscenes, and upon its completion, she'll receive an affinity boost.
Our journey takes us to Costa Falls within the currently accessible area of the Corel region. However, please note that if you're initiating this quest in Chapter 7, the extensive southern portion won't be accessible yet.
After encountering the two Johnnys at Costa Falls, we'll need to retrieve Refurbishment Materials from eight ziplines. Here's their locations:
- Two ziplines are conveniently situated near the Johnnys in the Costa Falls area.
- The third zipline is positioned far to the west and somewhat north, close to the factory ruins at the northern tip of the map.
- Moving north along the beach, the fourth and fifth ziplines are located roughly towards the center of the shoreline.
- The sixth zipline lies to the west of the fourth and fifth, just north of the beach's westernmost point.
- Number seven awaits northwest of the sixth, placing it south of the gym featured in 'Bodybuilders in a Bind.'
- Finally, the eighth zipline is slightly north of the gym.
Deliver The Boiler Valve
Speak to the Johnny members present, who will assign Yuffie and Cloud the task of obtaining a Boiler Valve. In order for Chadley to reveal the whereabouts of the Excavation Intel containing the Boiler Valve's Transmuter Chip, you must have at least two Lifesprings tracked through Expedition Intel.
To forge the Boiler Valve along with the Transmuter Chip, your Craftsmanship Level needs to reach 5 or higher. Achieving this is relatively straightforward if you're actively crafting, but if not, there should be ample simple recipes for you to work on.
Furthermore, we require the following materials:
- 2x Amethyst: These are somewhat uncommon, but we located some near the ruins of the factory. Alternatively, if you've begun your ascent of Mount Corel, they're abundant there. If you're already in Chapter 9 or beyond, you can purchase them in Gongaga.
- 2x Zinc Ore: The same principles apply here as with the Amethysts, although they were a bit scarcer for us on Mount Corel. Nonetheless, we managed to gather enough for the Boiler Valve before advancing the storyline.
- 2x Iron Ore: This one's easy. We've encountered it quite frequently throughout Corel.
Deliver The Tonberry King's Crown
Follow the map marker to locate the last Johnny, who unfortunately is positioned right near the border between the Costa del Sol and Gold Saucer sectors of the Corel region.
To put it differently, this geographical division will hinder our quest progress temporarily if we attempt it before gaining access to the Gold Saucer side. We won't be able to explore the desert area until the beginning of Chapter 9 when we acquire the desert buggy.
That's the challenging aspect. Well, not exactly. The most formidable part is battling the Tonberry King, who coincidentally is the Classified Intel monster of the Corel region. However, we do have a guide prepared for confronting him.
Unlock The Treasure Trove
After the crown is pilfered, take it to the final Johnny, then head back to Costa del Sol. Prepare to witness the climactic events marking the end of this adventure, and then focus on delivering those curiosities for Johnny's treasure trove.
Upon successfully finishing this side quest, you'll be rewarded with:
- Growth in affinity for Yuffie.
- Ten Party EXP.
- 800 EXP.
- Plus, plenty of laughs along the way!
