In "A Bird In The Hand," players of Hogwarts Legacy are tasked with assisting Poppy Sweeting in solving puzzles to locate and safeguard a nest of Golden Snidgets from poachers.
To strengthen your friendship with Poppy Sweeting in Hogwarts Legacy, completing the "A Bird In The Hand" quest is essential. In this quest, players aid Poppy in defending the magical creatures from poachers scouring Hogwarts Valley. The objective is to protect the rare Golden Snidgets, once thought to be extinct.
Initiating the "A Bird In The Hand" quest requires the prior use of all unlocked spells in Hogwarts Legacy to assist Poppy in freeing a Dragon during the Fire and Vice main story quest. This action unlocks Poppy's relationship questline, providing an opportunity to support her in confronting poachers and nurturing a strong friendship. As part of "A Bird In The Hand," players will receive a message from Poppy, inviting them to meet her and Dorran south of Brocburrow to investigate a mysterious sanctuary suspected to harbor Golden Snidgets.
How To Help Poppy Sweeting And Complete A Bird In The Hand
Go to the spot shown on the map to meet Dorran and Poppy. After a brief scene, you'll have to go into a ruin with a puzzle. Like the puzzle in the Bell Tower in Hogwarts Legacy, it's not too difficult. To solve it, put the moonstone on the stand, and the two symbols will light up. You'll find the same symbols on the ground near the two pillars with lights.
How To Solve The Pillar Puzzle
Use the Accio spell to shift the pillars until their shadows fall on the two symbols. Make sure the shadows align with the symbols that match the ones glowing on the door of the ruin. This action will unlock the door to the ruins, leading to another puzzle.
When you hit a dead end in the ruins, you'll encounter an Elemental Cube Puzzle, akin to those in Hogwarts Legacy's Treasure Vaults. The initial cube is behind the tree on the left.
Utilize Wingardium Leviosa to shift it onto the platform marked with the fire symbol. Afterward, apply Incendio or Confringo to ignite it.
The second cube is positioned on the right-side landing. To obtain it, employ Wingardium Leviosa to shift the block from the left to the right. Then, use it to ascend to the second level and seize the cube. Put this cube on the opposite platform and use Glacius to unlock the door.
Upon entering, you'll face an ambush by poachers that you must fend off. Use effective spell combinations and Ancient Magic to swiftly eliminate them. Once all enemies in the area are defeated, unlock the door to the Snidget Sanctuary. Employ Glacius to open the door, triggering a cutscene. After the ensuing cutscene, you'll have assisted Poppy in ensuring the safety of the Golden Snidgets, concluding the Hogwarts Legacy's A Bird In The Hand side quest.
