Palworld Mount Pal Tier List
Palworld has been really grabbing players' attention since its early access launch, and because Pocketpair, the developer, is committed to keeping the game fresh with regular updates, folks are likely to keep exploring the game's fun Palpagos Islands to find more of those animal-like creatures living there. There are over 100 Pals to collect in Palworld, each with its own unique traits and skills.

What makes Palworld stand out is its feature that lets players use many of these Pals as mounts. These mounts come in various shapes and sizes, each with its own speed and abilities. Players can get one pretty early on in their adventures through the Palpagos Islands, though the early ones aren't usually that impressive. And like in most games with mounts, Palworld's flying mounts are some of the best.

S-Tier (Flying)

S-Tier (Flying)
  • Jetragon
When it comes to Palworld mounts, Jetragon reigns supreme as the top choice. Not only does it fly, but it also boasts the highest speed of any mount in the game, making it a must-have as soon as you can get it. However, Jetragon is a level 50 boss, so players will have to wait until the very end of Palworld to have a shot at capturing it.

S-Tier (Ground/Water)

S-Tier (Ground/Water)
  • Necromus
  • Direhowl
  • Pyrin
  • Pyrin Noct
  • Univolt
  • Rayhound
  • Paladius
  • Fenglope
Some of Palworld's top ground and water mounts shine thanks to their speed and ability to jump multiple times. While Necromus and Paladius are commonly acknowledged as the best ground mounts in Palworld, they're both level 50 bosses, meaning players should hold off on challenging them until the game's very end. However, Direhowl, recognized in the Paldeck as one of Palworld's swiftest mounts, can be snagged fairly early on, so players should aim to get it as soon as possible.

A-Tier (Flying)

A-Tier (Flying)
  • Faleris
  • Frostallion
  • Frostallion Noct
Regrettably for newcomers, a lot of Palworld's top flying mounts, aside from Jetragon, are only accessible toward the end of the game. Frostallion and Frostallion Noct are both level 50 bosses, while Faleris is tucked away on a small island in the far northeastern part of the map, requiring players to have a swimming or flying mount to reach it.

A-Tier (Ground/Water)

A-Tier (Ground/Water)
  • Kitsun
  • Blazehowl
  • Blazehowl Noct
  • Blazamut
  • Eikthyrdeer
  • Eikthyrdeer Terra
  • Arsox
For players eager to get a speedy ground mount in Palworld without waiting for the late game, they can consider a few A-tier mounts like Eikthyrdeer, Kitsun, and Arsox. However, even these mounts will require players and their Pals to reach a mid-game level before attempting to capture them. To snag the Fire Pals, Blazamut and Blazehowl, players will also need heat-resistant armor, which can be crafted in Palworld's mid-game.

B-Tier (Flying)

B-Tier (Flying)
  • Ragnahawk
  • Beakon
  • Shadowbeak
Ragnahawk, Shadowbeak, and Beakon are all mid-game flying mounts in Palworld that will prove very useful for players as they progress toward the late game. While both Shadowbeak and Beakon can be located in the northeastern part of the map, players will need cold-resistant armor to venture there. Meanwhile, Ragnahawk is situated in the southeastern corner of the map, necessitating the use of heat-resistant armor to survive the journey.

B-Tier (Ground/Water)

B-Tier (Ground/Water)
  • Maraith
  • Melpaca
  • Chillet
  • Grintale
  • Relaxaurus
  • Relaxaurus Lux
A few of Palworld's B-tier ground mounts are unexpectedly nimble and can be captured before players hit level 20. Palworld's Melpaca is one of them, as it can be spotted in large numbers across the central region of the Palpagos Islands. For those wanting to zip through the water, Chillet is a swimming Pal found in the northern part of central Palpagos. Additionally, a Grintale boss lurks in the central region of Palpagos, serving as both a formidable ally and a decent mount once captured.

C-Tier (Flying)

C-Tier (Flying)
  • Helzephyr
  • Quivern
  • Suzaku
  • Suzaku Alpha
Helzephyr in Palworld is probably the top pick for players seeking a speedy mount early on, as it's commonly found around the central region of Palpagos. Apart from being quite fast, Helzephyr also adds dark damage to the player's attacks while mounted, making it versatile for multiple tasks. However, Suzaku and Quivern are located in the far corners of the map, which players probably won't explore until they reach the mid-to-late game in Palworld.

C-Tier (Ground/Water)

C-Tier (Ground/Water)
  • Ice Kingpaca
  • Surfent
  • Surfent Terra
  • Dinossom
  • Dinossom Lux
  • Kingpaca
  • Jormuntide
  • Jormuntide Ignis
  • Mossanda
  • Mossanda Lux
  • Reindrix
  • Rushoar
Even though they're ranked lower, a few of Palworld's C-tier ground mounts can be obtained early in the game. While they may not match the speed and strength of a Direhowl, they're still worth getting as players encounter them in the wild. Dinossom, Mossanda, and Rushoar, for example, can all be found in the central area of the Palpagos Islands and are relatively easy to catch with the right team and Pal Spheres. However, for mounts like Surfent Terra and Kingpaca, players are better off waiting until they stumble upon them rather than actively seeking them out.

D-Tier (Flying)

D-Tier (Flying)D-Tier (Flying)
  • Nitewing
  • Astegon
  • Vanwyrm
  • Vanwyrm Cryst
  • Elphidran
  • Elphidran Aqua
One of the least impressive flying mounts in Palworld is Nitewing, often the first flying Pal players come across in their Palpagos journey. Despite its shortcomings, it's still a valuable catch as it can assist players in reaching previously inaccessible areas very early in the game, and it's relatively easy to capture. However, other D-tier flying mounts like Vanwyrm and Astegon are located in mid-game areas that demand special armor, making them not worth pursuing during Palworld's early stages.

D-Tier (Ground/Water)

 D-Tier (Ground/Water)
  • Sweepa
  • Mammorest
  • Mammorest Cryst
  • Grizzbolt
  • Reptyro
  • Ice Reptyro
  • Wumpo
  • Wumpo Botan
  • Broncherry
  • Broncherry Aqua
As new players embark on their first journey into Palworld's fantastical realm, they'll likely be awestruck by the colossal presence of Mammorest. This massive, very slow ground mount can be encountered right from the game's outset, but it's not advisable to engage in battle or attempt to capture it—at least not until players progress further. Most of Palworld's other D-tier ground mounts aren't easily found early on and are more valuable for their combat abilities than anything else.

Palworld is currently in early access, and developer Pocketpair is dedicated to ensuring the game remains an outstanding experience for its fans. Therefore, the lineup of Palworld's best mounts is likely to change as updates are introduced and new Pals are added in future patches. Until then, players should aim to acquire mounts like Direhowl and Jetragon to traverse the breathtaking islands of Palpagos with speed and efficiency.
