Stardew Valley: How To Get And Use The Anvil

One of the joys of delving into Stardew Valley is the acquisition of new tools as you progress and enhance your skills. These tools open up possibilities for crafting diverse items such as mayonnaise, metal bars, coal, slime, bait, and more. With the advent of the Mastery System, there's a slew of additional equipment to potentially enhance your gaming experience.

Among these is the Anvil, obtainable once you've claimed Combat Mastery. Curious about what the Anvil entails, how to construct it, and its practical uses? Look no further, as we've got you covered right here.

To obtain the Anvil, you need to unlock the Skill Mastery System by reaching level ten in all your skills. Afterward, you must accumulate enough Mastery Stars through experience to claim Combat Mastery.

Constructing the Anvil necessitates 50 Iron Bars. Its primary function is to randomize the stats of trinkets, offering the possibility of obtaining more potent effects.

Trinkets, a novel addition introduced in the update, offer unique benefits when equipped. Similar to the Anvil, they become accessible upon claiming Combat Mastery.

Upon unlocking the equipment slot for trinkets, you can obtain them by embarking on adventures and defeating monsters in both the mines and the Skull Cavern. Additionally, some vendors offer them for purchase.

Notably, two trinkets, the Basilisk Paw and the Magic Hair Gel, are exceptions and cannot be re-rolled on the Anvil.

How To Use The Anvil

 How To Use The Anvil

The primary function of the Anvil is to randomize the stats of a specific trinket, with the aim of improving its existing attributes. To initiate this process, hold the desired trinket and click on the Anvil. After a brief moment, the modified trinket will become available. Check your inventory to view the updated stats.

Each use of the Anvil to re-roll a trinket's stats requires three Iridium Bars, so ensure you have an ample supply at hand.

It's important to note that every re-roll carries the risk of weakening the stats instead of enhancing them. For instance, if you have an Ice Rod that currently shoots an orb of ice every three seconds, freezing enemies for four seconds, re-rolling the stats could potentially decrease these durations as well as increase them.
