Stardew Valley: How To Get Powdermelon
With the arrival of the 1.6 update, Stardew Valley's world has been enriched with various new crops, including the Powdermelon. This vibrant fruit serves as a fantastic energy and income source during winter, especially if you haven't had time to prepare beforehand. It also provides a great incentive to rejuvenate your farmland. However, acquiring seeds for this crop isn't straightforward.

Regrettably, players can't buy Powdermelon Seeds or ripe fruit from Pierre's general store or any other shop. Instead, you'll need to bundle up and embark on a treasure hunt, where little worms will guide you along the right path.

Firstly, it's important to mention that Powdermelon Seeds can only be found in Winter. Head to any part of the forest and keep an eye out for artifact spots or grass spots. The little worms, which often indicate the presence of artifacts, might lead you to new seeds occasionally. However, they can also guide you to other items, so digging in areas with three blades of grass is slightly more effective. Grass spots don't offer a wide range of crops in the winter, so a few swings with a hoe will likely yield Powdermelon Seeds.

Additionally, it's worth noting that wild excavations aren't the sole method to obtain these seeds. Similar to most other plants, you can place ripe Powdermelon in a Seed Maker to acquire Powdermelon seeds.

After gathering a handful of Powdermelon Seeds, you'll likely be eager to cultivate this new fruit on your Stardew Valley farm. It's important to note that Powdermelon is exclusively a winter crop, meaning you can only grow it during this season. Once you've planted the seeds, tend to them as you would any other crop, ensuring they receive proper care. After approximately seven days, you can harvest the Powdermelons from your plants.

Furthermore, you can sell this crop for 66-132g, with the price varying depending on the quality of the harvest. If you happen to have some Powdermelons left over, consider donating them to the locals. Certain NPCs will appreciate such a thoughtful gift, especially during the cold winter season.
