You and a merge

Have you ever been a part of a forum that merged with another one? Were you a member of the original forum or did you get transferred over to a new one?

How do you feel about the whole aspect of two separate communities merging into one? What are the pros/cons of it?

That's an interesting question. I think 4-5 years ago the official regional forum of the Black Desert Online publisher in my country merged with the Global Forum. I don't remember exactly what happened, but it seems that the regional publisher didn't renew the license or something like that. But the merge happened smoothly, you just had to follow the link in the email and confirm that you agree to the new terms and conditions.
