Theft Auto VI
The unveiling of Grand Theft Auto VI's trailer is just around the corner. Rockstar Games has officially announced that the highly anticipated next installment in the popular open-world franchise will be showcased on December 5, marking the debut of what is expected to be a series of trailers.

Previously hinting at an early December reveal, Studio President Sam Houser provided a more precise teaser today. The Rockstar Games account on X (formerly known as Twitter) shared an image featuring a sunset and palm trees, accompanied by the caption: "Trailer 1 Tuesday, December 5, 9 AM ET."

Anticipated to display enhanced graphics and a more immersive experience, the trailer is likely to unveil a reimagined Vice City (based on Miami) and its surrounding areas in Florida, the reported setting for the game. Speculation also surrounds the introduction of joint protagonists, including a playable Latina woman. Despite being dubbed GTA 6 by fans, the official title remains undisclosed, leaving open the possibility of it being branded as a spin-off rather than a numbered entry.

With nearly a decade in development, the sequel follows the immense success of Grand Theft Auto V, which was adapted for two generations of consoles (Xbox One/PS4 and Xbox Series X/PS5) while Rockstar focused on the next installment. GTA Online, the multiplayer spin-off of GTA 5, has achieved monumental success as one of the largest live-service games in recent years. The question of how GTA 6 will continue this legacy looms large.

Despite glimpses of GTA 6 from a significant Rockstar hack last year, the leaked in-development footage was raw and unpolished. The game's existence, coupled with new patents and a constant stream of rumors, has fueled speculation among fans about every detail of the upcoming release. Expectations and hype for the unreleased game have arguably never been higher, and fans will soon discover if GTA 6 lives up to the anticipation next week.
