Nintendo Japan announced on social media that it has stopped accepting repair requests for the Wii U console, which was released in 2012.
The company noted that there were no parts left in stock to repair the console or its accessories.
Nintendo warned of this back in May 2023, when the company urged everyone to get their old devices repaired as soon as possible.
Active sales of the console ended a few years ago. Thus, according to analysts, from May 2022 to October 2023 in the United States sold only one unit of Wii U at the full price of 300 dollars.
In April, Nintendo pulled the plug on the Wii U's online features, so the console's lifecycle is officially over.
