Cyberpunk 2077 is full of tough fights against various strong characters, but one of the hardest just got even tougher. As players roam through Night City, they'll face many crime bosses, and Matilda K. Rose, also known as Sasquatch, is widely considered one of the toughest. Her battle is tough for most mercenaries at first, and now it's even more so.

According to Cyberpunk 2077's official website, CD Projekt Red's latest update for the game has fixed a big glitch that made the boss fight with Sasquatch easier. In earlier versions, Sasquatch's jumping attack often missed and did no damage, even though it looked like it should have. That's not the case anymore—now, if a player gets caught in its hitbox, Matilda's powerful move is guaranteed to land.

By addressing Sasquatch's jumping attack, the battle has become even tougher since Matilda was already a highly aggressive adversary. The encounter starts with the boss erecting a sequence of slender barriers before rushing at players wielding her powerful hammer. She swings it vigorously, aiming to destabilize V and then follow up with another attack. The crucial strategy in this fight is to aim for the small glowing device on Matilda's back. It's believed to be a significant power source and particularly vulnerable, especially when bombarded with numerous bullets.

Apart from addressing the Sasquatch battle, the new update for Cyberpunk 2077 also tackles various fixes for broken quest lines and objectives. One significant tweak was made to the quest "Nocturne Op55N1," resolving a bug that hindered player progression if they chose a specific option to conclude the mission. Another notable improvement was made to the "Riders on the Storm" mission, where enemies now actively shoot at and damage Panam's van during the chase, enhancing both the difficulty and visual excitement of the sequence.

Patch 2.12 is the latest in a series of updates for Cyberpunk 2077 following its troubled launch in 2020. Since then, CD Projekt Red has dedicated considerable effort to rectifying many glaring issues, including the extensive "2.0 Update," which revamped several systems based on player feedback. In 2023, the developer also released "Phantom Liberty," a substantial story expansion that received praise from fans and critics alike.
