News It Takes Two publishers have removed the requirement to install the EA Launcher for the Steam version of the game

Hazelight Studios has released a major patch for its cooperative adventure game It Takes Two. The developers have published the full list of changes on Steam.

The main updates​

• Full compatibility with Steam Deck has been added.
• To run It Takes Two you no longer need to install and use the EA Launcher.
• The ability to send invites and join other players directly from your Steam friends list.
• Support for Steam Family Sharing has been added.

It Takes Two authors emphasized that EA account is still required to play online through EA servers. For local play via Steam Remote Play Together, an account is no longer required.

It Takes Two is set for release in March 2021. The average score of the game on Metacritic was 88 out of 100 according to journalists and 8.9 out of 10 according to users of the site. The cooperative adventure game won the top prize at The Game Awards 2021.
