Spider-Man 2 Update New Game+ Mode Details Revealed
Insomniac Games has provided an update regarding the New Game+ feature for Marvel's Spider-Man 2. It has been confirmed that New Game+ will not be available at the game's launch. The news was accompanied by details about the game's launch patch, which is highly recommended for players. Speculation about the absence of New Game+ in Spider-Man 2 started when a content creator with early access revealed that it wouldn't be available at launch.

Fans were hopeful that the launch patch might include New Game+, but this turned out not to be the case. James Stevenson, Insomniac's director of community and marketing, clarified that New Game+ and mission replay functionality will not be available when Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is released. However, the good news is that both of these features will be added at a later date.
Spider-Man 2 Update New Game+ Mode Details Revealed
Stevenson mentioned that the New Game+ update for Spider-Man 2 should be released before the end of 2023, which aligns with the timeline for the release of the original Spider-Man's New Game+ update. The original Marvel's Spider-Man launched in September 2018, and its New Game+ feature was added before the end of October that year. Spider-Man 2 is set to release on October 20, and the New Game+ update will hopefully follow in November.

While some players might be disappointed that New Game+ won't be available at launch, it's important to remember that the majority of players won't finish the game quickly and might not immediately start a new playthrough. Insomniac's primary focus at launch is to provide a polished experience to as many players as possible, with New Game+ coming at a later date when more players have completed the game, likely before the end of 2023.
