News Twitch has allowed users to hide sexualized content

Twitch has added the ability to hide certain types of broadcasts. In the settings of the streaming site there are options that allow users to remove broadcasts on certain topics from the site.

What content can be hidden:

• Sexualized themes
• Drugs, intoxication or excessive tobacco use
• Violence and its graphic depiction
• Significant use of profanity
• Mature-rated games

You can specify the desired settings in the account settings, where the "Content Display Preferences" tab appears. On it you can also turn on the blurring of thumbnails of broadcasts with sexualized topics. Such streams will continue to appear in the feed, but you can see the content only if you go to them.

Twitch reminded that content creators are required to use classification tags if their content relates to one of the listed topics. For violation of this rule, streamers face penalties up to permanent blocking on the platform. The company hopes that the change will allow viewers to use the site more comfortably and find the desired content.
