Zelda In-Game Food to Life in Their Kitchens
Enthusiastic fans of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom have been drawing inspiration from the game's delectable cuisine, whipping up real-life versions of in-game delicacies like the Hylian Tomato Pizza and Wildberry Crepes. Among the array of fan-made creations dedicated to Tears of the Kingdom, these culinary creations stand out as some of the most mouthwatering offerings to date.

Traditionally, cooking hasn't been a prominent feature within The Legend of Zelda series. In most Zelda titles, players typically had to vanquish monsters or smash pots to uncover heart containers for health restoration. It wasn't until The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild that cooking became a pivotal game mechanic. This groundbreaking addition allowed our beloved hero, Link, to stock up on a variety of foods for on-demand health replenishment. Gamers could experiment with an assortment of ingredients, not only to restore hearts but also to grant Link various advantageous effects, such as boosting stamina or fortifying his defenses. In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, this cooking mechanic returns, boasting an expanded repertoire of recipes and introducing the handy Zonai creation, the Portable Pot, enabling Link to prepare quick meals anywhere in the vast expanse of Hyrule.

Reddit user RealBarryFox elevated this culinary gameplay to new heights by recreating one of the in-game recipes in real life. Sharing an image on Reddit, RealBarryFox proudly displayed the Hylian Tomato Pizza, meticulously crafted to mirror its virtual counterpart. The real-world rendition of this pizza looks as though it was plucked directly from the enchanting world of Tears of the Kingdom, featuring plump tomato slices, a generous blanket of mozzarella cheese, thinly sliced green peppers, and the delightful addition of black olives.

Meanwhile, another Reddit user, shots-by-leo, embarked on the journey to recreate Wildberry Crepes from Tears of the Kingdom in the tangible realm. In the game, Wildberry Crepes can be whipped up using Tabantha Wheat, Cane Sugar, Fresh Milk, a Wildberry, and a Bird Egg – all conveniently procured from various shops throughout Hyrule or discovered in the wild. In the real world, shots-by-leo ingeniously substituted blueberries, strawberries, and raspberries for the jam, and opted for powdered sugar, heavy cream, and vanilla extract to craft the decadent whipped cream. For the crepes themselves, the ingredients included flour, milk, butter, water, and two regular eggs. For those seeking precise measurements, a Reddit post generously offers detailed instructions, along with a link to a meticulously edited YouTube tutorial walking through the entire process.

Comparing these two culinary creations, it's evident that the Hylian Tomato Pizza from Tears of the Kingdom offers players more bang for their buck, replenishing a hearty 15 hearts within the game. To whip it up, players will need one Hylian Tomato, one stalk of Tabantha Wheat, and one piece of Hateno Cheese.
