An unreleased achievement in Baldur’s Gate 3 suggests a potential upcoming addition: Honour Mode, possibly a difficulty setting tougher than Tactician. Regarded as one of the highest-rated PC games, Baldur’s Gate 3 continues to receive support from Larian Studios post-release.

This game, a standout hit in 2023, initially soared with over 875,000 concurrent players on Steam after its launch. While player numbers have slightly waned, a substantial community still engages with Baldur’s Gate 3. Recent findings by a gamer named Scornz hint at a new mode in the works, shared through Reddit. The discovered achievement "Foehammer" is accessible only upon completion of the game in Honour Mode. Currently, the available modes include Explorer, Balance, and Tactician, signaling the imminent introduction of this new difficulty.

Notably, Honour Mode existed in Larian's previous game, Divinity: Original Sin 2, operating as the toughest setting by allowing only a single save file, which resets upon player death. Despite this information, Larian hasn't officially confirmed this mode for Baldur's Gate 3.

In the recent Update 4 for Baldur’s Gate 3, Larian addressed various aspects, providing over 1,000 bug fixes, tweaks, and changes, alongside quality-of-life enhancements such as increased customization options for hirelings' appearances and added options for color-blind individuals.

Nevertheless, the update encountered certain issues, with Astarion, a character in Baldur’s Gate 3, reportedly experiencing animation problems post-update. Larian Studios continues to work on BG3, aiming to resolve these issues and potentially introduce the enigmatic Honour Mode through an upcoming patch.
